Before Greensboro, There Was Durham.
In June 1957 — three years before the famous Greensboro sit-ins — Rev. Douglas Moore and six other activists walked into the Royal Ice Cream Parlor in Durham, North Carolina and sat in the whites-only section. They were arrested. They were convicted. And they lit the fuse for a movement. One stool. One stand. A movement.
